Sessions Dedicated to the Art of Doing Business in Animation
Business @ MOVE Summit is a strand of the programme dedicated to those doing business in animation and vfx, comprising a range of events that both established studios and creatives looking to take those steps into the entrepreneurial side of animation, will want to be sure not to miss.
From hosted industry 1:2:1 matchmaking meetings with commissioners, creative agencies, alongside essential talks and panels on funding and development.
With the presence of UK-wide agencies, broadcasters and commissioners it will be a prime opportunity for creative studios and industry entrepreneurs to showcase their talents, pitch their ideas and expand their network of connections.
For the participating agencies and commissioners, it will be a great opportunity to scope out potential creative suppliers, get your eyes on fresh new ideas and source new collaborators currently leading the way in Scotland.
We open the doors to fantastic collaboration possibilities.

The Big MOVE Pitch
Following on from the success of last year, we’re once again running The Big MOVE Pitch as part of Business@MOVE 2025!
Do you have a brilliant idea for the next hit animated show? If so, MOVE Summit wants to hear from you. We’re looking for concepts across all age ranges, genres and platforms, from pre-school learning all the way to adult comedy – and everything in between.
Shortlisted entrants will have the chance to pitch live in front of a panel of industry experts and will get tailored written feedback from the judges. The winning pitch secures a development pot of up to £1,000 to help take your project to the next stage.
The winning pitch will be selected by a panel of judges made up of experts from across the animation sector.
To apply please submit your project to bigpitch@movesummit.co.uk by the EXTENDED DEADLINE of 17:30 on Thursday 6th February 2025.
Projects can be at any stage of development, from a one-page document to a full pitch deck, as long as you can pitch it on stage this February at MOVE Summit in Edinburgh.
Pitches must be no longer than five minutes, and should be as visual as possible. Remember to include key details such as the number of episodes and their length, the target audience, and your proposed animation format (if known). All entrants should hold all relevant rights for the project being pitched.
(Note: the members of the judging panel or their affiliated companies and organisations are under no obligation to proceed with any further communication regarding your projects past the pitch event itself.)
