Rita is a Development Producer specialised in scripted animation at BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions. In her current role, she generates and produces new ideas for long-form originals, carries them through funded development into the market and drives them through commissioning and production greenlight stages.

After directing commissioned short films throughout her animation studies, Rita entered the TV sector as creative intern in the EMEA Disney Original Content team, working across shows such ‘Gigantosaurus’, ‘Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir’ and ‘PJ Masks’. She then directed a festival-selected stop-motion short for her final year of her degree, followed by a return to long-form TV when joining the BBC in making new animated programming for kids, teens and their families.
