Christopher McDonald

After graduating with a first class degree in Animation, Chris began his career in VFX at The Mill, where he honed his skills working on commercials as an Animator and Layout Artist. Over the course of the next ten years, Chris would continue to gain invaluable experience at companies such as DNEG and The Third Floor.

Chris’s first feature film project was Kingsman: The Secret Service, beginning as a Previs Artist, continuing in this role throughout the shoot and moving into post-production as an Animator. This end-to-end experience offered him a comprehensive overview of the ways in which Previs and Techvis can benefit every stage of a production.

Since working in Visualisation, Chris has leant his talents to TV series such as Game of Thrones and feature films such as Black Widow, his first experience as a Visualisation Lead. Chris joined Framestore Pre-Production Services in 2020, where he has taken on the role of Previsualisation Supervisor on Jon M. Chu’s Wicked, as well as Visualisation Supervisor on projects for studios such as Apple, Disney, and Amazon.
