John McEwan-Whyte is an award-winning filmmaker and the founder of Bonnie and Braw Cartùns, a Scottish animation studio dedicated to creating bold, original stories for a global audience. With a focus on developing animation projects that celebrate creativity, inclusivity, and cultural heritage, John has collaborated with industry leaders including BBC Scotland, Aardman, and Huminah Huminah. His current slate includes internationally co-produced projects, one of which has received development funding from Screen Scotland, and others that feature renowned talent such as Ewan McGregor and KT Tunstall. Passionate about storytelling and fostering new talent, John is at the forefront of Scotland’s growing animation industry.
