Carlos Miras Sepulveda
Carlos Miras Sepulveda is a VFX Supervisor based at ReDefine’s Barcelona studio. A native Spanish speaker, he recently worked on HBO MAX’s highly anticipated TV series ‘The Penguin’, the newly released Apple TV+’s series ‘Time Bandits’, as well as the Emmy-nominated Netflix series ‘Ripley’. With over two decades of experience in the VFX industry and a background in computer science and photography. Carlos began his career in London as a Video Editor before transitioning to Motion Graphics and discovering his passion for VFX. After developing his skills in Soho’s premiere post-production houses, he pursued advanced training at Escape Studios.
His career has taken him across the globe, working at numerous studios including Prime Focus, MPC, Umedia VFX and DNEG. In 2020, he joined ReDefine as a Compositing Supervisor and quickly advanced to Associate VFX Supervisor and eventually VFX Supervisor.
Over the years, Carlos has contributed to several blockbuster films, including Ridley Scott’s ‘The Martian’, Sam Mendes’ ‘Spectre’, Alan Taylor’s ‘Terminator Genisys’ and Joss Whedon’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’. His journey reflects a blend of technical expertise, artistic vision and a passion for mentoring the next generation of VFX artists.
